To a small business owner, business bankruptcy statistics can be absolutely meaningless. When a business is struggling, statistics about other businesses won’t pay any bills. If a business owner is determined to survive, statistics don’t matter. Starting a business is a gamble to start with. So business owners are used to the people saying how the odds are stacked against them. For many business owners, their business started with an idea. Then they got some money to start it. The ones who were lucky enough to get bank loans didn’t always get enough money. So they had to utilize their credit cards, borrow money from friends and family, work for other people to save just enough to open their doors.
